Principal

Mitzi North Labant

Lic. Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM),

Mitzi North Labant has been practicing Acupuncture for over 38 years. She is nationally board-certified and licensed in Acupuncture. While training as an architect, Mitzi became fascinated with Acupuncture after taking a Shiatsu class that explored the ways that changes in the weather and emotions affect one's health. She was inspired to study Acupuncture to help clients keep their minds and bodies in balance during challenging times.

Mitzi was the founding president of the Illinois Society of Acupuncturists (formerly ISAA) in 1982. She taught at the Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine from 1982-1986 and was president of the school from 1985-1986. For the last 20 years, Mitzi has deepened her practice by traveling to Taiwan, where she studied Acupuncture, Oriental Herbs, the use of food as medicine, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong with a Taiwanese Master.

Mitzi's mission is to empower her patients to notice and "read" the messages their bodies are sending them so they can respond to those messages in balanced, positive ways throughout their lives.
